Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. Italian sausage
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. ground Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups bread crumbs
  • 5 small cans tomato sauce
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 cup mushrooms
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • salt and pepper
  • Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the onion, garlic, and mushrooms in a skillet.
  2. Mix the cooked vegetables with raw meat, mozzarella cheese, eggs, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, and oregano in a large bowl.
  3. Mix well to combine all ingredients.
  4. Partially cook the manicotti noodles in salted water.
  5. Stuff the cooked noodles with the meat mixture.
  6. Place the stuffed noodles in a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  7. Cover with tomato sauce and sprinkle with cheese to taste.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes, covered.
