Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 1/2 cups dry bread crumbs
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2/3 cup chili sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, bread crumbs, applesauce, egg whites, minced onion, chopped celery, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, poultry seasoning, and black pepper. Mix lightly until well combined.
  2. Press the mixture into a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
  3. Spread the chili sauce evenly over the top of the loaf.
  4. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour or until the meat is cooked through.
  5. Let the turkey bake stand for 10 minutes before slicing.
