- 1 1/2 lb. ground turkey ⓘ
- 1 1/2 cups dry bread crumbs ⓘ
- 1 cup unsweetened applesauce ⓘ
- 2 egg whites ⓘ
- 1/4 cup minced onion ⓘ
- 1/4 cup finely chopped celery ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon salt ⓘ
- 3/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning ⓘ
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper ⓘ
- 2/3 cup chili sauce ⓘ
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, bread crumbs, applesauce, egg whites, minced onion, chopped celery, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, poultry seasoning, and black pepper. Mix lightly until well combined.
- Press the mixture into a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
- Spread the chili sauce evenly over the top of the loaf.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour or until the meat is cooked through.
- Let the turkey bake stand for 10 minutes before slicing.
