Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup green pepper strips
  • 2 pounds raw ground turkey
  • 6-ounce can tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup green olives, coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Melt margarine in a frypan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add chopped onions and green pepper strips; sauté until limp.
  3. Add ground turkey, mixing well, and cook until no longer pink, about 4 to 5 minutes.
  4. Add tomato paste, water, chopped green olives, raisins, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  5. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  6. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Spoon the cooked turkey mixture onto buns and serve.
