Ingredients

  • 1 (12 to 14 oz.) box Stove Top stuffing
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 1/2 cups cooked turkey or chicken
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup

Instructions

  1. Combine the stuffing, melted butter, and warm water in a bowl.
  2. Toss until the dressing is moist.
  3. Place half of the dressing in a greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
  4. Dice the cooked turkey or chicken and mix with the chopped onion, chopped celery, mayonnaise, and salt.
  5. Spread the turkey mixture over the layer of dressing in the pan.
  6. Scatter the remaining dressing on top of the turkey mixture.
  7. Beat the eggs and milk together in a separate bowl.
  8. Pour the egg and milk mixture evenly over the casserole.
  9. Cover and refrigerate overnight before baking.
