Twice-Cooked Pork features tender pork simmered in aromatic broth, then stir-fried with colorful peppers and bold sauces, perfect for those who love savory, spicy flavors.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. center cut pork chops
- 1 Tbsp. Chablis ⓘ
- 1/4 tsp. ginger ⓘ
- 3 green onions including tops ⓘ
- 2 tsp. liquid hot pepper seasoning ⓘ
- 4 tsp. hoisin sauce ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce ⓘ
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 2 small green bell peppers or 1 each green and red pepper
- 3 Tbsp. salad oil ⓘ
- 1 clove garlic, minced ⓘ
- 1 tsp. minced fresh ginger ⓘ
Instructions
- Place pork, Chablis, and ginger in a 2-quart pan.
- Add one green onion cut in half and enough water to barely cover the meat.
- Bring to a simmer, cover, and simmer until the pork is no longer pink, about 20 to 30 minutes.
- Lift the meat from the broth and refrigerate until cold.
- Cut the pork into 1 1/2-inch square pieces.
