Ingredients

  • 3 lb. deer meat, cubed
  • 3 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 large pepper, chopped
  • 1 large can tomato sauce or chili sauce
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • garlic (clove or powder)
  • oregano
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar or 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • basil flakes

Instructions

  1. Sear the cubed deer meat quickly in hot oil in a skillet.
  2. Remove the meat from the skillet and drain excess fat.
  3. Put the seared meat into a crock-pot.
  4. Add sliced onions, chopped pepper, tomato sauce, canned tomatoes, garlic, oregano, basil and parsley flakes, brown sugar or honey, and Worcestershire sauce to the crock-pot.
  5. Stir all ingredients well.
  6. Cook on low for at least 3 hours.
