Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon butter

Instructions

  1. Mix the first six ingredients and add raisins.
  2. Pour the batter into a greased and floured deep loaf pan.
  3. Mix the remaining ingredients and pour over the batter.
  4. Bake until the cake is done and has its own sauce.
