Ingredients

  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 (16 oz) can fruit cocktail
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1 cube margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, flour, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  3. Fold in the fruit cocktail, including juice.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  5. Sprinkle brown sugar and chopped walnuts over the top of the batter.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40 to 45 minutes or until light golden brown.
