Ingredients

  • 1 can pork and beans
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 can butter beans
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/2 cup celery
  • 1/2 pound bacon
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 3/4 pound hamburger
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Brown hamburger and bacon together in a skillet and drain the excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion, celery, ketchup, and a small amount of water to the skillet and simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. Place the canned beans, vinegar, mustard, brown sugar, and salt into a crock pot.
  4. Pour the meat sauce over the beans in the crock pot and mix well.
  5. Add enough water to make the mixture soupy but not runny.
  6. Cook in the crock pot until warm and bubbly, about 1-2 hours.
