Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 lb. stew meat
  • 1 to 2 packages carrots
  • 1 large bunch celery
  • 2 to 3 large onions
  • 6 to 8 large potatoes
  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1 can green beans
  • 1 can corn
  • 1 can peas
  • 2 packages stew mix
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut the stew meat and vegetables into desired pieces.
  2. Place the meat and vegetables in a large roasting pan.
  3. Pour in the canned vegetables and their juices.
  4. Add the stew mix, salt, and pepper, then stir.
  5. Add water until the meat and vegetables are covered.
  6. Stir again to combine all ingredients.
  7. Cover the pan and cook in a preheated oven at 350°F for 3 to 3½ hours.
