Ingredients

  • 1/2 to 1 lb. ground beef
  • 3/4 lb. bacon, cut in small pieces
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 2 (1.13 oz.) cans pork and beans
  • 1 lb. can kidney beans, drained
  • 1 lb. can lima beans, drained
  • 1 c. ketchup
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. liquid smoke
  • 3 Tbsp. white vinegar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef and drain the fat.
  2. Put the browned beef in a crock-pot.
  3. Brown the bacon pieces and cook with the chopped onions.
  4. Drain off excess fat from the bacon and onions.
  5. Add all ingredients to the crock-pot and stir well.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 9 hours.
