Tips & Substitutions

For a quicker prep, use pre-chopped vegetables or frozen bean sprouts. You can substitute shrimp with chicken or tofu for a different protein option. Adjust the soy sauce according to your taste; low-sodium versions work well if you're watching sodium intake. Adding a splash of sesame oil at the end can enhance the flavor.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the shrimp chow mein over a bed of hot cooked rice or chow mein noodles, garnished with green onions or sesame seeds for added flavor. It pairs beautifully with other Chinese recipes, such as Chicken Wings Chinese or Sweet And Sour Chicken Or Pork, for a delightful meal.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place in a skillet over medium heat, adding a splash of water to prevent sticking, or microwave in short bursts, stirring in between until heated through.
