Ingredients

  • 3 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can ready-cut tomatoes
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 onion
  • 8 cloves garlic
  • 1 boneless pork roast
  • 1 boneless beef roast
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • olive oil
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Pour olive oil into a large pan or Dutch oven to cover the bottom. Add garlic and onion.
  2. Cook until garlic is lightly browned and onion is limp.
  3. Add tomato paste, tomato sauce, and canned tomatoes to the pan.
  4. Fill each can with water and add to the pot.
  5. Add sugar and salt to the sauce.
  6. Let the sauce simmer on very low heat, stirring frequently.
  7. Brown the ground beef, pork, and beef in olive oil; sprinkle with salt.
  8. Add the browned meats to the simmering sauce.
