- Cream butter and 3/4 cup sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Combine dry ingredients; set aside.
- Combine applesauce and sorghum.
- Add dry ingredients alternately with applesauce mixture to egg mixture; fold in raisins and pecans.
- Pour batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before removing from pan and slicing.
