Ingredients

  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 c. raw quick oats
  • 1 1/2 c. boiling water

Instructions

  1. Place margarine, raw quick oats and the boiling water in a bowl. Stir once or twice and set aside for 20 minutes.
  2. Combine sugar, brown sugar, eggs, flour, salt, soda, baking powder, nutmeg and cinnamon.
  3. Thoroughly blend the oat mixture with the other ingredients.
  4. Pour into a 9 x 12-inch baking pan.
  5. Bake 40 minutes at 375°.
