Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 (3 lb) disjointed chicken
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, mashed
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 (4 oz) cans mushrooms
  • 8 oz medium noodles
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Roll the disjointed chicken in the flour mixture to coat evenly.
  3. Brown the coated chicken slowly in butter in a skillet; transfer the browned chicken to a baking dish.
  4. Add chopped onion and mashed garlic to the skillet drippings; stir in lemon juice, chicken broth, and canned mushrooms.
  5. Simmer the mixture for about 5 minutes, then pour the sauce over the chicken in the baking dish.
  6. Cover the baking dish with a lid or foil.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is bubbly.
