Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 4 c. hot water
  • 1 can (14 oz.) tomatoes
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1/2 bay leaf
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (10 oz.) package frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 c. noodles

Instructions

  1. Cook hamburger and onion in margarine until browned.
  2. Add hot water, canned tomatoes, diced celery, salt, beef bouillon cubes, bay leaf, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper.
  3. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes.
  4. Add frozen mixed vegetables, noodles, and thyme.
  5. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
