Ingredients

  • pastry for 9-inch two-crust pie
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 can condensed tomato soup
  • 1 (3 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • dash of pepper

Instructions

  1. Line a deep dish pie pan with pastry and flute the edges.
  2. Place ground beef, chopped onion, and chopped green pepper in a large skillet.
  3. Cook until the meat is browned.
  4. Pour off excess fat.
  5. Add condensed tomato soup, drained sliced mushrooms, dried parsley flakes, Worcestershire sauce, salt, garlic salt, and a dash of pepper to the skillet.
  6. Mix well and cook until heated through.
  7. Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust with the top crust placed over the filling.
  8. Seal the edges, cut slits in the top crust, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
