Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 3 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
  • 1 (16 oz.) can chili beans, undrained
  • 1 (16 oz.) can pork and beans, undrained
  • 1 small can green lima beans, drained
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup catsup
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in skillet until warmed.
  2. Add the sliced onions and sauté until tender.
  3. Drain the onions and set aside.
  4. Combine the sautéed onions with remaining ingredients in a medium bowl, stirring well.
  5. Spoon the mixture into a lightly greased casserole dish; chill overnight.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for one hour.
