Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. minced parsley
  • 2 Tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 tsp. marjoram leaves
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Piquant Sauce (recipe follows)

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef, oatmeal, chopped onion, chopped green pepper, minced parsley, prepared mustard, marjoram leaves, pepper, eggs, and milk in a large bowl.
  2. Mix lightly but thoroughly until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  4. Spread with Piquant Sauce on top of the meat mixture.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
