  • 2 Tbsp. rice
  • 1/2 c. cream
  • 1/2 c. white cooking wine

  2. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until shrimp are pink.
  3. Add flour and stir until blended.

Tips & Substitutions

For an even richer flavor, consider using homemade chicken stock instead of store-bought. If shrimp are unavailable, you can substitute them with crab or lobster for a different yet delightful taste. To enhance the dish, add a splash of lemon juice before serving for brightness. Be careful not to overcook the shrimp; they should be just pink and tender.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the bisque in warm bowls, garnished with fresh parsley or a drizzle of cream for an elegant touch. This dish pairs beautifully with crusty bread or a light salad, such as Sesame Chicken Salad, for a complete meal. Consider offering a glass of white wine alongside to complement the flavors.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, gently warm the bisque in a saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally. Avoid boiling to prevent the cream from separating. If the bisque thickens too much, add a little chicken stock or water to reach your desired consistency.
