Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lb. chuck roast
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 5 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 bottles chili sauce
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 8 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 3 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 4 Tbsp. liquid smoke
  • 1 cup catsup
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Place the chuck roast in a crock-pot and cook until you can shred the beef.
  2. Add chopped onions and crushed garlic to the crock-pot.
  3. Pour in chili sauce, vinegar, Dijon mustard, catsup, and liquid smoke.
  4. Add crushed red pepper and brown sugar to the mixture.
  5. Continue cooking in the crock-pot for several hours until the beef is tender and easily shredded.
  6. Shred the beef and mix well with the sauce before serving.
