Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/2 c. pecans

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, powdered sugar, and egg together.
  2. Add dry ingredients: flour, salt, soda, and cream of tartar.
  3. Mix in candied cherries, candied pineapple, and chopped pecans.
  4. Shape dough into oblong rolls about little-finger size.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8 to 10 minutes.
  6. While hot, roll cookies in granulated sugar.
