Ingredients
- 1 can choplets, chopped fine in food processor ⓘ
- 1 cup onion, chopped ⓘ
- 1 cup chopped celery ⓘ
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs ⓘ
- 1 cup chopped walnuts ⓘ
- 2 eggs ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon ground sage ⓘ
- 1 plain tofu ⓘ
- 2 tablespoons cooked soft bulgur ⓘ
- 1 large clove garlic, finely chopped ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon salt ⓘ
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon finely diced red sweet pepper ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon finely diced celery
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme ⓘ
Instructions
- Prepare tofu by cutting it into strips as in Tofu Salad Delight.
- Chop the can of choplets finely in a food processor.
- In a mixing bowl, combine chopped choplets, chopped onion, chopped celery, bread crumbs, chopped walnuts, eggs, ground sage, finely chopped garlic, salt, cayenne pepper, diced red sweet pepper, diced celery, and thyme.
- Mix all ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
- Form the mixture into patties of desired size.
- Coat each patty with whole wheat flour, plain white flour, or cornmeal as preferred.
- Cook the patties by frying, baking, or pan-searing until golden brown and cooked through.
