Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 2 1/2 cups coarsely chopped cranberries

Instructions

  1. Sift together the flour, salt, baking powder, and soda. Set aside.
  2. Cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar.
  3. Beat in the milk, egg, and orange juice into the creamed mixture.
  4. Blend in the sifted dry ingredients.
  5. Stir in the chopped pecans and cranberries.
  6. Drop teaspoons of dough about 1 inch apart onto a greased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake in a 275°F oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
