Ingredients

  • 2 lb. beef chuck or stew meat
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. beef broth
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove garlic or 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 4 carrots
  • 3 potatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 2 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet

Instructions

  1. Place the beef in the crock-pot.
  2. Mix the flour, salt, and pepper together.
  3. Pour the flour mixture over the beef.
  4. Stir to coat the meat evenly with the flour mixture.
  5. Add the remaining ingredients: beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, bay leaf, paprika, carrots, potatoes, onions, celery, and Kitchen Bouquet if using.
  6. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours or on high for 4 to 6 hours.
  8. Stir the stew thoroughly before serving.
