Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 2 packages chocolate chips
  • 2 cups nuts

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, vegetable shortening, sugar, and brown sugar for 5 minutes.
  2. Add eggs, vanilla, lemon juice, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, oats, chocolate chips, and nuts to the mixture.
  3. Mix until well combined.
  4. Put teaspoon-sized clumps of dough on a cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 to 15 minutes.
