Deep Chocolate Cake

- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Melt milk chocolate bars and chocolate syrup over boiling water in the top of a double boiler.
- Add vanilla extract; set aside to cool.
- Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Add the cooled chocolate mixture and blend thoroughly.
- Sift together the soda and flour; add to the creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
- Stir in chopped pecans.
- Pour batter into a large tube pan or Bundt pan.
- Bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
