Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • 1 stick softened margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup nuts (optional)
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar

Instructions

  1. Beat the eggs in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add cooking oil, softened margarine, sugar, milk, cocoa powder, self-rising flour, vanilla extract, and nuts (if using).
  3. Mix all ingredients well until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9x13-inch oblong pan.
  5. Bake at 350°F for about 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow the brownies to cool, then frost as desired.
