- 8 to 10 lasagna noodles ⓘ
- 2 lb. ground beef ⓘ
- 1 onion, chopped ⓘ
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 3 Tbsp. olive oil ⓘ
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper ⓘ
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms ⓘ
- 1 (20 oz.) can tomatoes ⓘ
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. oregano ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. basil ⓘ
- 2 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese ⓘ
- 1 carton Ricotta cheese ⓘ
- Parmesan cheese, shredded ⓘ
Instructions
- Rinse the lasagna noodles under warm water until soft.
- Do not cook the noodles before assembling the lasagna.
- Cook the ground beef with chopped onion and minced garlic in olive oil until browned.
- Add chopped green pepper, canned mushrooms, canned tomatoes, tomato sauce, oregano, basil, and salt to the beef mixture. Simmer briefly to combine flavors.
- Layer cooked meat sauce, lasagna noodles, ricotta cheese, and shredded mozzarella in a baking dish.
