  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 2 cups buttermilk with 2 tsp. soda dissolved in it
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 5 cups plain flour
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1 cup nuts
  • 1 cup jam

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients well with an electric mixer.
  2. Pour the batter into a tube pan.
  3. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 1 hour and 25 minutes.
