Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 small onion
  • 2/3 c. raw long grain rice
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
  • salt, as desired

Instructions

  1. Saute ground turkey and chopped onion together in a large skillet until cooked through.
  2. Add all remaining ingredients: rice, pepper, water, sauerkraut, tomato sauce, and mushrooms.
  3. Cook on low heat for about 40 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the flavors are well combined.
