Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 c. melted shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c. molasses
  • 1 3/4 c. white flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 c. uncooked quick oats
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. seeded raisins

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, melted shortening, eggs, and molasses in a bowl.
  2. Beat until smooth.
  3. Add flour, cinnamon, salt, soda, oats, nuts, and raisins. Mix well.
  4. Drop by spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 400°F for 8 to 10 minutes. Do not overbake.
