Ingredients

  • 1 to 2 lb. stew beef
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 c. water
  • 2 c. diced carrots
  • 1/4 c. uncooked macaroni
  • 1 can whole kernel corn
  • cooked vegetables to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the stew beef in fat.
  2. Add salt, pepper, chopped onion, tomatoes, water, and bay leaf.
  3. Bring to a boil and simmer for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  4. Add diced carrots and macaroni, then simmer for 30 minutes.
  5. Add canned corn and cooked vegetables to taste, including their juices.
