Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 1/3 cups whole wheat or 20 grain flour
  • 1 1/2 cups carob or chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix all ingredients together with a mixer, adding chips last.
  3. Spread the batter onto a jelly roll pan about 1/2 inch thick, dividing into multiple pans if needed.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
