Holiday Stuffed Turkey
A festive stuffed turkey filled with savory mushroom, onion, broccoli, rice, and herbs, perfect for holiday gatherings and family celebrations.
Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine ⓘ
- 1 1/2 c. sliced mushrooms ⓘ
- 1 c. chopped onion ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. dried savory leaves, crushed ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 2 c. cooked chopped broccoli ⓘ
- 1 pkg. (14 oz.) Pepperidge Farms Herb seasoned cube stuffing ⓘ
- 1 c. cooked wild rice ⓘ
- 1 c. Swanson clear ready-to-serve chicken broth
- 14 - 16 lb. ready-to-stuff turkey, cleaned ⓘ
Instructions
- In a one-quart saucepan, over medium heat, cook mushrooms and onion with savory and nutmeg in hot butter until tender.
- Remove from heat.
- Add broccoli, stuffing, rice, and broth. Toss to mix well.
- Stuff the prepared mixture into the cleaned turkey cavity.
- Roast the turkey according to standard guidelines until fully cooked and juices run clear.
