Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. sliced mushrooms
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. dried savory leaves, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 2 c. cooked chopped broccoli
  • 1 pkg. (14 oz.) Pepperidge Farms Herb seasoned cube stuffing
  • 1 c. cooked wild rice
  • 1 c. Swanson clear ready-to-serve chicken broth
  • 14 - 16 lb. ready-to-stuff turkey, cleaned

Instructions

  1. In a one-quart saucepan, over medium heat, cook mushrooms and onion with savory and nutmeg in hot butter until tender.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Add broccoli, stuffing, rice, and broth. Toss to mix well.
  4. Stuff the prepared mixture into the cleaned turkey cavity.
  5. Roast the turkey according to standard guidelines until fully cooked and juices run clear.
