Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider using smoked paprika instead of regular paprika. You can also substitute the pork with chicken or turkey for a different protein option. If you want to add depth, sauté some mushrooms along with the onions. Ensure to not let the sour cream mixture boil after being added to maintain its creamy texture.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the Hungarian Pork Paprika over egg noodles or rice for a filling meal. This dish pairs beautifully with a side of crusty bread to soak up the sauce. For a complete meal, consider serving with steamed vegetables or a light salad to balance the richness of the pork.

Storage & Reheating

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm gently on the stove over low heat, stirring occasionally, to prevent curdling of the sour cream. Alternatively, you can microwave in short intervals, stirring in between until heated through.
