- Heat chicken broth to boiling in a deep pan.
- Beat the egg lightly with a fork in a bowl.
- Add the kasha to coat the kernels with the egg.
- Put the coated kasha in the pan and heat on a medium flame, stirring until the egg has dried and the kernels are separate.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in the remaining ingredients, then cover the pan.
- Heat for 8 to 11 minutes until all liquid is absorbed.
- Mix the cooked kasha with the bow tie noodles and fried onions, then serve.
