  • 1 1/2 cups Rice Krispies

  1. Cream margarine until smooth.
  2. Blend in sugar and mix well.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla, and mix thoroughly.
  4. Sift together flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture.
  6. Pour the batter into a well-greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and spread marshmallows on top of the hot mixture.
  9. Return to oven and bake for an additional 3 minutes.
  10. Allow to cool completely.
  11. Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter together until smooth.
  12. Stir in Rice Krispies until well coated.
  13. Spread the chocolate mixture on top of the cooled bars.
  14. Allow to set and cool.
  15. Cut into bars and serve.
