Lasagna - Sauceless
A hearty sauceless lasagna featuring layers of seasoned meat, creamy Ricotta, and melted cheeses, perfect for comfort food lovers and family dinners alike.
Ingredients
- 3/4 lb. ground beef ⓘ
- 1/4 lb. bulk Italian sausage ⓘ
- 1 small onion, minced ⓘ
- 1/2 clove garlic or 1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder ⓘ
- 1 small can mushrooms ⓘ
- 1 bay leaf ⓘ
- 1 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. mixed Italian spices ⓘ
- 2 small cans tomato paste ⓘ
- 1 package lasagna noodles (about 6) ⓘ
- 1 carton Ricotta cheese ⓘ
- grated Parmesan cheese ⓘ
Instructions
- Brown ground beef, Italian sausage, and minced onion in a skillet.
- Pour off excess fat from the meat mixture.
- Add minced garlic or garlic powder, mushroom pieces, bay leaf, salt, pepper, Italian spices, and tomato paste to the skillet.
- Rinse each tomato paste can with 3 tablespoons of water and stir into the meat mixture.
- Simmer the meat mixture for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions.
- In a greased oblong baking dish, layer lasagna noodles, meat sauce, Ricotta cheese, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
- Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used.
- Bake in a 350°F oven for 45 minutes.
