Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large diced onion
  • 1/2 green pepper, diced
  • 4 stalks celery, diced
  • 1 large can tomato juice
  • 1 can red kidney beans
  • 1 can whole tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. celery salt
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef and drain excess fat.
  2. Sauté the diced onion, green pepper, and celery until softened.
  3. Combine the beef, vegetables, tomato juice, kidney beans, whole tomatoes, chili powder, garlic powder, celery salt, Italian seasoning, and pepper in a large saucepan.
  4. Simmer the chili for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  5. Store leftovers in the refrigerator or freeze for later use.
