- 4 eggs ⓘ
- 1 onion ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. minced garlic
- 3 c. sourdough bread crumbs ⓘ
- 1/2 c. chopped parsley ⓘ
- 1/2 c. red wine ⓘ
- 3/4 Tbsp. dried basil ⓘ
- 1/2 Tbsp. dried thyme ⓘ
- 1/2 Tbsp. dried oregano ⓘ
- 1 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 1 bunch fresh basil leaves ⓘ
- 4 oz. sun-dried tomatoes ⓘ
- 4 oz. Jack cheese, sliced ⓘ
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground Italian sausage, ground beef, eggs, chopped onion, minced garlic, bread crumbs, chopped parsley, red wine, dried basil, dried thyme, dried oregano, and salt.
- Put the mixture on a piece of parchment paper and press out to about 3/4-inch thick, forming a rectangle.
- Layer on fresh basil leaves, sun-dried tomatoes, and sliced Jack cheese.
- Roll the meatloaf jelly roll fashion to enclose the fillings.
