- 1 cup (4 oz.) Kraft natural shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves ⓘ
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon oil ⓘ
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms ⓘ
- 2 tablespoons flour ⓘ
- 1/2 cup beef broth ⓘ
- 1/2 cup dry white wine or beef broth ⓘ
Instructions
- Mix ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, shredded Cheddar cheese, chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce, chopped parsley, dried basil leaves, and pepper in a bowl.
- Shape the mixture into 12 meatballs.
- Heat oil in a large skillet and brown the meatballs on all sides for about 5 minutes. Remove meatballs from the skillet.
- In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until tender.
- Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir well.
- Gradually add beef broth and white wine (or additional beef broth), stirring constantly to create a sauce.
- Return the meatballs to the skillet, spoon sauce over them, and simmer until heated through.
