Ingredients
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard ⓘ
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon prepared horseradish ⓘ
- 1 egg ⓘ
- 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs ⓘ
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon salt ⓘ
- dash pepper ⓘ
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef ⓘ
- 1 to 2 tablespoons cooking oil ⓘ
- 1/2 cup water ⓘ
Instructions
- Combine the cream of mushroom soup, prepared mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and horseradish. Blend well and set aside.
- Lightly beat the egg, then add bread crumbs, chopped onion, salt, pepper, and 1/4 cup of the soup mixture.
- Add the ground beef and mix well.
- Form the mixture into patties and brown them in cooking oil.
- Combine the remaining soup mixture with water.
- Pour the soup mixture over the browned patties, cover, and cook over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Serve the Salisbury Steak with parsley garnish.
