Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb ground beef round
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 Tbsp milk
  • 4 Tbsp catsup
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Dijon-style mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1/8 tsp celery seed

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. In a small bowl, beat egg, milk, 1 tablespoon of catsup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and celery seed with a fork.
  3. Beat in bread crumbs, then add ground beef and mix thoroughly to form a pasty mixture.
  4. In a small baking dish, shape the mixture into a loaf about 3 x 6 inches.
  5. Spread remaining catsup over the top of the loaf.
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until fully cooked.
