Ingredients
- 2 lb. lean ground beef ⓘ
- 1/2 clove crushed garlic ⓘ
- 1 medium onion, minced ⓘ
- 1 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 1 c. soft bread crumbs ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard ⓘ
- dash of hot pepper sauce ⓘ
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce ⓘ
- flour (to coat meatballs) ⓘ
- 4 strips bacon ⓘ
- 1 c. strong coffee ⓘ
- 1 tsp. sugar ⓘ
- 1/2 tsp. salt ⓘ
- 1/2 c. chili sauce ⓘ
- 1 c. water ⓘ
Instructions
- Mix ground beef, crushed garlic, minced onion, salt, bread crumbs, mustard, hot pepper sauce, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.
- Shape mixture into about 2½ dozen meatballs and coat each with flour.
- Cook bacon strips in a skillet until crisp, then remove and set aside.
- Brown the meatballs in the bacon grease, turning them until evenly browned; remove from the pan.
