Ingredients

  • 4 medium green peppers
  • 1 egg
  • 14 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup seasoned croutons
  • 1 tsp. dried onion flakes
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 3/4 lb. ground chuck
  • Grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cut off tops of green peppers and remove seeds.
  2. Wash peppers.
  3. Combine egg, 3/4 cup spaghetti sauce, seasoned croutons, dried onion flakes, and pepper, stirring well.
  4. Stuff peppers with the meat mixture and place them in a lightly greased 8-inch baking dish.
  5. Cover loosely with wax paper.
  6. Microwave on High for 12 to 14 minutes, giving the dish a half turn after 6 minutes.
  7. Spoon a small amount of remaining spaghetti sauce over the tops of peppers.
  8. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  9. Heat remaining spaghetti sauce and serve with peppers.
