Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground chuck
  • 2 3/4 cups fresh bread crumbs
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. basil
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 can (10 1/2 oz.) condensed vegetable or vegetarian vegetable soup
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup cubed Swiss cheese

Instructions

  1. Mix together lightly all ingredients except cheese and spaghetti sauce.
  2. Shape the mixture into 8 small meat loaves and place them on a jelly roll pan.
  3. Press cheese cubes into each loaf and cover with spaghetti sauce.
  4. Bake at 400°F for 35 minutes or until browned.
  5. Cool and refrigerate.
  6. Reheat in spaghetti sauce until well heated before serving.
