Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground moose meat or ground beef
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 4 Tbsp. cornstarch, divided
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 3 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 (8 oz.) can pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 medium green pepper, cut in strips
  • hot, cooked wide egg noodles

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground meat, egg, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, salt, pepper, and chopped onion.
  2. Shape the mixture into 1 1/2-inch meatballs.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the meatballs in cooking oil over medium heat.
  4. Cover and cook over low heat until the meatballs are cooked through.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, and pineapple chunks.
  6. Add the pineapple mixture and green pepper strips to the skillet with the meatballs.
  7. Simmer until the sauce is heated through and the peppers are tender.
  8. Serve hot over cooked wide egg noodles.
