Ingredients

  • 15 oz. box Raisin Bran
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 large can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 quart buttermilk
  • 5 cups sifted flour
  • 5 teaspoons soda
  • 2 teaspoons salt

Instructions

  1. Mix Raisin Bran, raisins, crushed pineapple, sugar, sifted flour, soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add eggs, melted butter, and buttermilk to the dry ingredients.
  3. Mix well but do not overblend the batter.
  4. Store the batter in a covered container.
  5. Allow to sit for six weeks before baking or use as desired.
